Lizi Ross
For two years, Lizi has been working for Friends International (FI) as their Communications Co-ordinator. FI is an evangelical Christian mission agency dedicated to equipping and encouraging churches to reach out to international students for Christ. Lizi's role involves the oversight and coordination of the organisation's external communications. This includes producing the publicity materials, newsletters, prayer letters and resources, managing the media relations and maintaining the website. It also allows Lizi more time to be involved in student activities with students from the University College for the Creative Arts in Farnham.
Throughout the week the church organises many activities to encourage Christian students to grow in their faith and be a witness to their peers, for example a hospitality scheme, a meal and Bible study, one-to-one Bible studies, social activities and evangelistic events. Lizi recognises the many challenges, but also the many opportunities, that student life can bring and longs to see more students come to know Jesus as their Saviour and grow to be effective disciples for Christ.
