Tim Burnage
Tim grew up in Farnham and attended FBC until heading up the A1 to Yorkshire in 1999 to study Music at York University. After completing his degree, Tim worked at St Michael le Belfrey for a year as a trainee youth worker and then joined The York Schools and Youth Trust (YoYo) - a local schools work trust - the following year. Tim has been working for YoYo ever since and in 2006 married Sarah.
As Tim explains, “as a team we believe we are blessed by God to be a blessing to others through the power of the Holy Spirit. YoYo was founded in 1996 and seeks to serve Jesus Christ through serving the schools of York”.
The aims of the trust are
- - to effectively communicate Jesus Christ to the children and young people of York, particularly through work in schools;
- - to serve the primary and secondary schools of York by way of demonstrating Christ’s love to these young people;
- - to encourage, equip and support the churches to work with children and young people from their local schools.
